The Maine and Anberlin to perform as part of Homecoming Oct. 27

The Maine and Anberlin will join forces to perform Sunday, October 27 in the Adler Athletic Complex as part of Homecoming activities.

Tickets are $10 with a Penn State Altoona Student ID (limit two) beginning at 10 a.m. September 3 in the Office of Student Life, located in 205 Slep Student Center. If tickets are still available, they will go on sale for faculty and staff for $15 starting September 10, and to the public for $20 September 17. Tickets may be purchased with cash or check only.

The Maine formed in 2007 in Tempe, AZ. Most of the band members were in high school at the time, and the guys wasted little time turning their ’90s radio rock band influences into a familiar, infectious pop-punk sound. The Maine signed to Fearless Records and released a five-song concept EP, The Way We Talk, in 2007. The group returned to the studio, eventually emerging in 2010 with the sophomore album Black & White.

Anberlin is an American rock band formed in Winter Haven, Florida in 2002. Prior to the release of their fifth studio album, Dark Is the Way, Light Is a Place, Anberlin sold over 700,000 albums. Their sixth studio album, Vital, was released in 2012.

Doors to the concert open at 6 p.m. and the concert begins at 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 814-949-5793.
