Penn State Altoona will present the Mystic Warriors dance group on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 5 - 6 p.m. in the Pond View Lounge of the Slep Student Center.

Founded in 1993 by Andres and Marco Mallea, the Mystic Warriors dance group is dedicated to the preservation of Andean Folk music. The group performs indigenous music as a vehicle for cultural expression. Using ancient flutes and panpipes in conjunction with contemporary instruments associated with world music and contemporary jazz, Mystic Warriors delivers a rich fusion of Andean folk and "New Age" world-beat music.

This event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Office of Institutional Equity, Diversity, and International Student Services. Refreshments will be provided as well as prizes.
