Kenneth Womack’s latest book, Made to Order: The Sheetz Story, was published today, November 25, 2013.
The product of numerous interviews with key Sheetz family members, including company founder Bob Sheetz and longtime company president Steve Sheetz, Made to Order traces the fascinating history of Sheetz, Inc., a regional convenience retailer that battled the odds and cemented its name among the ranks of America’s most successful private companies. From its humble dairy store origins in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Sheetz became a convenience-store giant, amassing more than 450 locations across six states and creating numerous marketing and retail innovations along the way.
On December 7, 2013, Womack and Steve Sheetz will offer a book-signing at the Altoona Barnes and Noble bookstore from 1 - 4 p.m. Copies of Made to Order will be available for purchase.
