Penn State Altoona junior guard Jonathan Ross (Columbia, SC/Cross Creek) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Player of the Week in men's basketball on November 25.
Ross led the Lions to a pair of road victories last week, as his team defeated Goucher College 88-84 on Wednesday and the College of Mount Saint Vincent 75-71 on Sunday.
Against Goucher, Ross scored a game-high 23 points and grabbed five rebounds. He shot 83.3% from the floor, including a 2-for-2 effort from three-point range.
Ross followed that performance by leading his team with 23 points and adding four rebounds against Mount Saint Vincent. He led all players with four three-pointers made.
For the week, Ross averaged 23 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game while shooting 64.0 percent from the field, 54.5 percent from behind the arc, and 72.7 percent at the free throw line. In the AMCC, he is currently tied for fourth in scoring with an 18.3 points per game average.
This is the first time in Ross' three years with Penn State Altoona that he has won the AMCC Player of the Week honor.
