Penn State Altoona freshman forward Evan Greening (Stafford, VA/Stafford) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Player of the Week in men's basketball on Monday.

Greening was a big key to the Lions' success last week, helping his team average 95 points per game in a pair contests against AMCC opponents.

In a loss to Mount Aloysius College on Wednesday, Greening scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while blocking five shots. On Saturday, he helped his team defeat D'Youville College by scoring 26 points, securing nine rebounds, and dishing out three assists.

The freshman shot 63 percent from the floor during the week, moving him into the top thirty in NCAA Division III men's basketball for field goal percentage and field goals made. In the AMCC, Greening is currently ranked third in rebounds (9.5 rebounds per game) and first in field goal percentage (60 percent).
