Kathryn Hartigan, a Penn State Altoona THON 2013 dancer and soccer team captain, received the Courtney O’Bryan Volunteer Award at the annual Road to THON Celebration dinner at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel held January 30, 2014. The award honors the memory of O’Bryan who was killed in a vehicle accident in 2011 while traveling with Sigma Delta Tau sorority to fundraise for THON.

The award recognizes the volunteer who most embodies O’Bryan’s charitable work and dedication to THON’s mission. Hartigan currently serves as one of the captains for the Morale Committee of Penn State Altoona Benefitting THON. She is a junior majoring in Human Development and Family Studies.
