Lady Lions Finish AMCC Swimming Championships in Fourth Place

At the conclusion of the 2014 James E. Longnecker Invitational/Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships on Saturday evening, the Penn State Altoona women's swimming team secured fourth place out of five teams.

The Lady Lions finished with a team score of 119. Cabrini College won its first-ever AMCC title in women's swimming, totaling 243 points as a team.

Ashley Nero (Oak Hill, VA/Oakton) wrapped up her strong 2013-2014 freshman campaign by finishing in second place in the 200 Yard Breaststroke final, achieving a time of 2:42.12.

Kelsy Lelko (State College, PA/State College) grabbed fourth place in the 1650 Yard Freestyle final, finishing in 21:27.51.

In the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, the squad of Sydney Mrozinski (Chalfont, PA/Central Bucks South), Autumn Henderson (Okinawa, Japan/Kadena), Melanie Burland (South Park, PA/South Park), and Nero got fifth place with a time of 4:02.86.
