Tuesday, March 25, 2014 - 255 hits

ALTOONA – Penn State Altoona will host Brain Awareness Week March 23 – 29, 2014. The program comes on the heels of the annual international celebration held the second week in March. This year’s theme is "Get Connected."

Brain Awareness week is a global campaign spearheaded by the Dana Foundation to promote and spread the word about the progress and benefits of brain research, as well as to celebrate the amazing wonder of the brain.

Speakers, demonstrations, and lab tours will be offered throughout the week. There will also be several seminars including sport concussion from an athletic trainer’s perspective, easing away stressful emotions, and traumatic brain injury.

The program is free and open to the public. Visit altoona.psu.edu/brain for a complete schedule of events.
