Penn State Altoona’s Ivyside Pride to present "Images"

ALTOONA – Penn State Altoona’s Ivyside Pride choral group will perform Images, a concert of diverse choral music featuring the works of Haydn, Eric Whitacre, and Rob Landes. Steven J. Knell, Penn State Altoona’s emerging artist in choral directing, will conduct the concert. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on April 25 and 2 p.m. on April 26 in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. Tickets are $5 for Penn State students and $7 general admission. Children under 12 are free.

Ivyside Pride is under the direction of Bonnie Cutsforth-Huber. In May 2009, the choir performed its first European tour in Germany, France, and Switzerland. In April 2012, it made its Carnegie Hall debut with the Mozart Requiem. This March, the choir traveled to New York City to perform the Duruflé Requiem in Lincoln Center.

Tickets may be purchased at the box office, open Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and before and during all performances. For further information, call the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts at 814-949-5452.
