College to host PA Association for Play Therapy Conference June 13 and 14

Penn State Altoona will host the 17th Annual Pennsylvania Association for Play Therapy Conference on Friday and Saturday, June 13 and 14, 2014 in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts.
This two-day conference will bring therapists from throughout Pennsylvania and neighboring states to the campus. This year’s conference theme is “Healthy Attachments = Healthy Families.” A keynote address will be offered on Friday by Dr. Kevin J. O'Connor, a founding member of the Association for Play Therapy. O’Connor will speak about building healthy families. Saturday's program will feature three breakout sessions in the morning and three more in the afternoon. Jean Camberg, instructor in Human Development and Family Studies at Penn State Altoona, is the continuing education director for the Pennsylvania association, and will speak in the afternoon about the legalities of play therapy.
