Students raise more than $122,000 for charitable organizations

Penn State Altoona students raised more than $122,000 for various charitable organizations during the 2013-14 academic year.

Individuals and student groups contributed by holding events such as Zumba for Breast Cancer, Kick out Hunger, Fun Run, and Mr. PSU. There were also charity basketball games, basket raffles, canning activities, and a jam session.

Monies raised were donated to organizations including Easter Seals, Fisher House, THON, Special Olympics, and Toys for Tots.
