FastStart Connections

FastStart Connections is a program designed to help students from African American, Latino/Hispanic, Native American, and Asian American backgrounds, as well as those students who simply want to get the most of out their collegiate experience. This program is free, and all activities sponsored for FastStart Connections are free of charge.

FastStart Connections is sponsored by the Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity & International Student Services, and was developed through the collaboration of many offices across the Altoona and University Park campuses.

Through this program, students are offered a variety of educational, social, skill developing workshops to assist with their transition to college. Participants may take advantage of all of the following activities designed to enhance their college experience, such as:

  • Monthly networking luncheon meetings with various Penn State Faculty and Staff
  • Monthly study hall meetings- study with other Fast Start participants. Refreshments provided
  • Variety of social and educational programming
  • Opportunity to participate in the Multicultural Achievement Awards Reception for those highly involved in the program! So Get Involved!
