Traveling to Ireland took us from Altoona to Pittsburgh by bus then the first air leg was from Pittsburgh to NYC's JFK airport where we had a three hour layover before continuing on to Dublin. This leg of the trip was nearly a six and a half hour fight plus five time zone changes so it was a twelve hour difference. After landing we gathered our bags and boarded another bus for the ride to Kilkenny.

On the ride to Kilkenny, our driver Mark gave us a brief talk about the area of Ireland we were passing through as well as some cultural information about sports. We had some time to kill be checking in at 4:00 p.m. so I walked around the city for about two hours. We toured a castle then had a couple of hours to explore before we ate dinner at the hotel dinning room.
