Early this morning, we left our hotel to tour a Parmesano Reggiano manufacturing plant. I love cheese, particularly Parmesan, and learning the 400 year-old practices of making it was interesting. I never knew how unique it is, as it can only be made in one 80 km radius of Italy, and certain processes cannot be done by machine. After leaving the factory, we had a two-hour drive into Milan, where we were able to spend the rest of the day eating, shopping, and exploring the city.
