Penn State Altoona Trading Club
By participating in the Trading Club, Penn State Altoona students have the opportunity to experience the excitement of managing an investment portfolio on a virtual trading platform. The experience is true to life, and allows students to gain a competitive edge in understanding the intricacies of finance and how global markets function. Students trade stocks, bonds, mutual funds, options, and futures and spot contracts for world currencies and commodities, on more than twenty global exchanges, based on real-time data. And to make things even more exciting, we will be holding trading competitions, with real cash prizes, to increase the competitive spirit of the participants. There will be a total of $1,500 in prizes for the Spring 2013 trading competition, with a first place prize of $500.
