John HorellEntrepreneur bio - Click here to return to the EIR homepage In 2004, John received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Penn State. That same year, he began his professional career with Harry K. Sickler Associates in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, as an accountant. In addition to his employment with Sickler Associates, John is President of KIZ Resources, LLC, a company that is recognized throughout Pennsylvania for its experience and leadership in tax credit transactions. A strong advocate for Penn State, John is a member of the Penn State Alumni Association. He volunteers his time as a board member of the South Central Blair County Enterprise Zone Advisory Committee and treasurer of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. John was named the Financial Services Advocate of the Year for 2011 by the Saint Francis University Small Business Development Center & The Center for Global Competitiveness. The award was given in recognition of outstanding advocacy efforts on behalf of small business owners in the Southern Alleghenies Region in obtaining financing and increasing the availability of financing for small firms. John resides in Altoona with his wife, their two daughters and dachshund. |
