Steven A. Adler Athletic Complex
The Steven A. Adler Athletic Complex is home to 15 intercollegiate varsity athletic programs, the offices for athletic department staff and coaches, the Kinesiology Department, and the Army R.O.T.C. The Adler Athletic Complex contains a large gymnasium, an indoor swimming pool, racquetball courts, a multi-purpose room, a weight room, fitness loft, showers, and locker rooms. Adler was constructed in two phases during the 1970s. The first phase, which included the gymnasium and lobby area, was completed in 1972. The second phase included a swimming pool, facilities for physical education classes, an area for conferences, demonstrations and exhibits, racquetball courts, equipment rooms, men's and women's locker facilities, a training room, and faculty offices. It was completed in 1977.

Athletic Training Room
The athletic training and sports medicine suite is used to treat varsity athletes at Penn State Altoona and includes several training tables, an ice machine, and whirlpool.

Equipment/Reservation Information Desk
The lobby area in Adler is where students, faculty, staff, and the general public can check in to use the facilities. The friendly staff at the front desk will accommodate visitors with ID card check-in, guest pass purchase, equipment check-out, and reservations, as well as provide general information. The lobby is also host to a trophy case that highlights the long history of Penn State Altoona varsity athletics.
Fitness Loft
The fitness loft is an area where students, faculty, and staff can use a wide variety of fitness machines to improve muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness. The loft is located on the second floor of the Adler building and overlooks the swimming pool. Equipment includes stair stepping machines, stationary bikes, an adjustable bench for sit-ups, and treadmills.
Gymnasium
The Adler Athletic Complex features a 113 x 79 foot court area with a hard wood floor. The gym seats approximately 700 people and is home to men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball. It is also used for a variety of classes and intramural activities. Fall and spring graduation ceremonies are also held in the Adler gymnasium.
Multi-purpose Room
The Brown Room is a 66 x 52 multi-purpose space located on the top floor of the Adler Athletic Complex. It is equipped with wrestling mats and a heavy bag, and it is often used for aerobics, conditioning, classes, and team meetings.
Racquetball Courts
There are four regulation racquetball courts with viewing windows in the Adler building. All courts are available for both racquetball and wallyball but must be reserved for use. Eye protection is mandatory for those choosing to use the courts for racquetball.

Swimming Pool
The Adler Athletic Complex also includes a six lane, 25-yard pool that features one and three meter diving boards. The pool is home to both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams, which compete during the winter months. The pool is handicap accessible and has bleachers to accommodate approximately 100 people.

Weight Room
There are two adjacent rooms where students, faculty, and staff can go to lift weights. The first room carries most of the free weights, while the second room contains a wide variety of weight machines, mats, and squat racks.
Spring Run Stadium
In the fall of 2002, Penn State Altoona opened up its newest addition to the athletic facilities when Spring Run Stadium hosted its first soccer game. The field consists of an artificial turf playing surface surrounded by an eight-lane track. The unique blue surface on the track is the first of its kind in the Penn State system. The track is open to the campus and the community for recreational use when the campus teams are not using the facility. Along with the track and soccer accommodations, Spring Run Stadium also has an enclosed press box, a large scoreboard, lights for night games and activities, and bleachers.

Eight-lane Track
The track is used not only by Penn State Altoona students, but also by the local community. The unique blue surface adds to the overall beauty of the facility.

Playing and Seating Areas
Spring Run Stadium can seat roughly 2,000 spectators. Aside from soccer matches, the first-ever Penn State Altoona all-sports Pep Rally was held at the stadium in October 2006. The artificial turf playing surface installed in the summer of 2010 allows optimal conditions for competitive soccer.

Press Box
The press box at Spring Run Stadium allows staff and work-study students to provide public address announcing, music, in-game statistics, and scoreboard operation during all home soccer matches.

The scoreboard at Spring Run Stadium is complete with a digital graphics board.

Stewart Athletic Fields
Stewart Athletic Fields are home to the Penn State Altoona baseball and softball teams. The baseball team has enjoyed playing at the campus since the late 1960s, though the facilities have been upgraded considerably since then. The most recent additions to the baseball field include a new scoreboard and press box that features a concession stand and restrooms. There is also a bullpen area, dugouts, a batting cage, and storage sheds. The softball field has enjoyed a home at Ivyside since 2002, and a new press box recently added to the facility. Both baseball and softball fields are equipped with lights for night competition. In 1991, six tennis courts were added to the fields behind Adler Athletic Complex. The courts are home to the men's and women's tennis teams who compete in spring and fall, respectively. These facilities are also equipped with lights and are open to the public when not being used for campus activities.
Baseball Field
The baseball field is situated in the heart of campus and is surrounded by dormitories, the Port Sky Cafe, and Spring Run Stadium. The facility features a full press box, concession stand, and restrooms.

Softball Field
The softball field at Penn State Altoona is also situated in the middle of campus and directly borders the Port Sky Cafe, Adler Gym, and Ivyside Tennis Courts. The field is also used for intramural softball in the spring.

Tennis Courts
Six tennis courts can be found adjacent to the softball field and behind the Adler Gymnasium. The courts are home to the Lion men's and women's tennis teams. The local community also enjoys the use of the courts when the teams are not competing.

Scoreboard
The scoreboard is operated from the baseball or softball press box during games.
