ATHLETIC NEWSMen's Soccer Team Walks for DyslexiaThursday, September 17, 2009
ALTOONA, Pa. - Before the start of the Penn State Altoona men’s soccer regular season, the team decided to take off their cleats and shin guards and help out in the community of Altoona. On August 29, players, managers, and coaches of the Penn State Altoona men’s soccer team joined forces with residents of the Altoona community to participate in the Walk for Dyslexia. The team donated money and participated in a three mile walk from the Jaffa Shrine to downtown Altoona and back. Overall, the men’s soccer team and many other generous donors helped the event sponsor, the 32° Masonic Learning Center for Children, in raising almost $1,700. MORE INFORMATION...
