Lions Golf Places Second at Medaille Invitational

EAST AMHERST, N.Y. - The Penn State Altoona men's golf team finished in second place on Saturday afternoon at the Medaille College 2011 Fall Invitational at Glen Oak Golf Course.


The Lions shot 310 as a team, finishing behind La Roche College, which totalled 303 on the par 72 course.


Three of the five Lion golfers finished among the top five individual places at the event.


Chris Perry (Altoona, PA/Altoona) led the Lions, firing a 75 to place second individually.


Landon Hollenshead (Mercersburg, PA/James Buchanan) tied for third place, shooting a 76.


Wes Elder (Roaring Spring, PA/Martinsburg Central) finished with a 77 to tie for fifth.


Tom Trexler (Bellwood, PA/Bellwood-Antis) shot an 82, and Brock Dillon (Roaring Spring, PA/Martinsburg Central) had an 88.
