Three Golfers Named to AMCC All-Conference Team

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Three Penn State Altoona men's golfers were named to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's 2011 All-Conference Team on Friday.


Chris Perry (Altoona, PA/Altoona) earned first team honors from the AMCC.


Perry, a junior, competed in all six events for the Lions this past season, including a first place individual finish in the Penn State Altoona Invitational on September 16.


Wes Elder (Roaring Spring, PA/Martinsburg Central) was named to the second team.


Elder, also a junior, golfed in all six of his team's events. He shot a season-best 75 in the Penn State Behrend Invitational on September 20 to place fourth individually.


Landon Hollenshead (Mercersburg, PA/James Buchanan) made third team All-AMCC.


Hollenshead, a sophomore, competed in all six of the Lions' 2011 events. He placed second individually at the Penn State Altoona Invitational on September 16.
