Men’s Golf Ties for Sixth at Penn State Altoona Invitational

9/16/2012 — ALTOONA, Pa. – Penn State Altoona men’s golf hosted their home invitational on Saturday at Sinking Valley Country Club and tied for sixth place in the event.

Saint Francis University, which fielded “Red” and “White” squads, placed first and second with team scores of 303 and 316. Penn State Altoona shot 340 collectively, tying with Pitt-Greensburg for sixth place.

Wes Elder (Roaring Spring, PA/Martinsburg Central) was the Lions’ top golfer, shooting an 81 on the par 72 course to tie for tenth place individually out of 65 golfers.
