Cross Country Teams Post Solid Performance at Behrend Invitational
9/15/2012 — ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men’s and women’s cross country teams posted strong showings in the Penn State Behrend Invitational on Saturday.
The men’s squad came in seventh out of 17 teams, while the women’s team placed sixth out of 16 teams.
Jason Anna (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock) led the Lions, coming in 16th place individually out of 139 runners with a time of 27:30.9 in the 8K event.
Jacob Dean (Shade Gape, PA/Southern Huntingdon) placed 29th overall with a time of 28:11.0.
Garrett Webster (Wellsboro, PA/Wellsboro) finished in 37th with a time of 28:30.5.
Patricia Mantero (San Juan, PR/Academia del Perpetuo Socorro) led the Lady Lions by placing 16th out of 137 runners in the 5K with a time of 21.12.3.
Missy Scandrol (South Park, PA/South Park) came in 25th, clocking in at 21:41.3.
Macy Yingling (Bedford, PA/Bedford) finished 33rd in 22:18.7.
