Lady Lions Tennis Notches First Win, Defeating Medaille 8-1

9/17/2012 — ALTOONA, Pa. – Penn State Altoona women’s tennis picked up their first win of 2012 against Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference foe Medaille College, winning 8-1 on Sunday morning at the Adler Tennis Courts.

The Lady Lions swept the three doubles matches and took five-of-six in singles play.

The duos of Cassie Yatcilla (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown East)/Katelyn Piper (Roaring Spring, PA/Martinsburg Central), Alexandra Grund (Cheltenham, PA/Cheltenham)/Taylor Pompili (Renovo, PA/Bucktail), and Caroline Dudley (Ringoes, NJ/Hunterdon Central Regional)/Kathryn Dudley (Ringoes, NJ/Hunterdon Central Regional) each recorded wins in doubles.

Grund, Yatcilla, Pompili, Leah Stoehr (Altoona, PA/Altoona), and Samantha Fulare (Altoona, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) all provided Penn State Altoona with victories in their singles matches.
