Men's Cross Country Places 6th, Women Finish 10th at St. Vincent Invitational
9/22/2012 — LATROBE, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona men's and women's cross country teams raced in the Saint Vincent College Invitational on Saturday.
The men's team came in sixth place out of 11 teams, while the women placed 10th out of 13 teams.
The Lions were led by Jason Anna (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock), who placed 23rd out of 120 runners in the 8K event with a time of 28:24.
Jacob Dean (Shape Gap, PA/Southern Huntingdon) came in 33rd place with a time of 29:01.
Garrett Webster (Wellsboro, PA/Wellsboro) finished 43rd in 29:44.
Pacing the Lady Lions was Patricia Mantero (San Juan, PR/Academia del Perpetuo Socorro), who placed 26th out of 139 women's runners and secured a time of 21:25 in the 5K.
Missy Scandrol (South Park, PA/South Park) clocked in at 21:54, placing 37th.
Macy Yingling (Bedford, PA/Bedford) came in 65th with a time of 22:59.
