Men's Soccer Edged 2-1 by La Roche in Overtime

9/25/2012 — PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Penn State Altoona men's soccer lost 2-1 in overtime to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference foe La Roche College on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lions' Karl Stephan (Milford, NJ/Delaware Valley Regional) broke a scoreless tie at 55:36, taking Cody Beach's (South Williamsport, PA/South Williamsport) cross and shooting it past the goalkeeper.

But La Roche tied the game late in the final minutes of regulation when Bryan Weimerskirch scored off of a rebound on the goalline.

The home team ended the game just 1:14 into overtime when Nick Work scored, giving the Redhawks the one-goal victory.

Penn State Altoona goalkeeper Brandon Moss (Springfield, NJ/Jonathan Dayton) made 10 saves in the loss.
