Women's Tennis Tops D'Youville in Forfeit Match

9/29/2012 — ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona women's tennis defeated Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent D'Youville College in a match which was forfeitted by the visitors.

The score officially goes into the books as a 9-0 win for the Lady Lions, their second victory of the season.

Penn State Altoona and D'Youville split a pair of doubles matches. The duo of Leah Stoehr (Altoona, PA/Altoona)/Kayla Shriver (Martinsburg, PA/Martinsburg Central) won in #2 Doubles by a score of 8-3.

The Lady Lions took three out of the five Singles matches played, with Katelyn Piper (Roaring Spring, PA/Martinsburg Central), Taylor Pompili (Renovo, PA/Bucktail), and Stoehr winning in #3, #4, and #5 Singles, respectively.
