Lady Lions Soccer Defeated 5-0 by D'Youville

9/29/2012 — BUFFALO, N.Y. - Penn State Altoona women's soccer lost 5-0 to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent D'Youville College on Saturday evening at the Riverside Athletic Complex.

D'Youville scored a trio of goals in the first half to take a 3-0 lead by halftime. The home team added two more goals in the second half.

D'Youville's Rebecca Alvira and Danielle Gehen each finished with two goals and one assist.

Penn State Altoona had five shots on goal but could not break through for a score. The Lady Lions were outshot by an eight-shot margin in the first half, but they played much closer in the second half when they attempted four shots to D'Youville's five.

Katy Cook (Hollsopple, PA/Bishop McCort) made eight saves in goal for Penn State Altoona.
