Oyler, Robinson Bring Lions Back for 2-1 Win
10/6/2012 — ALTOONA, Pa. - Quinn Oyler (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) and Mike Robinson (Lansdale, PA/North Penn) each scored a second half goal to help the Penn State Altoona men's soccer team overcome a deficit and defeat Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Pitt-Bradford 2-1 on Saturday at Spring Run Stadium.
Pitt-Bradford drew first blood, taking a 1-0 lead at the 7:04 mark on Tyler Hinojosa's goal.
After numerous scoring chances, the Lions were finally able to capitalize at 64:01. Robinson fired a pass into the goal box which deflected to Oyler, who found the back of the net to tie the game 1-1.
Penn State Altoona took a 2-1 lead at 80:13 when Robinson got the ball in front of the net and maneuvered into position to fire the ball into the goal.
Justin Fitzwater (Gillett, PA/Troy) made two stops in net to pick up his first collegiate win with the Lions.
Penn State Altoona outshot Pitt-Bradford 21-6, including an 8-2 advantage in shots on goal.
