Men Place Fifth, Women Finish Sixth at CCOC Meet
GENEVA, N.Y. - The Penn State Altoona men's and women's cross country teams posted another solid showing on Saturday morning in the Cross Country Only Conference Championships at Seneca Lake State Park.
The men's team came in fifth out of 17 teams in the 8K race, and the women placed sixth out of 16 teams in the 5K.
Jason Anna (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock) led the Lion men's runners by placing 11th out of 173 runners. He achieved a time of 27:44.28.
Jacob Dean (Shade Gap, PA/Southern Huntingdon) came in 22nd with a time of 28:24.51.
Garrett Webster (Wellsboro, PA/Wellsboro) finished 50th with a time of 29:36.53.
Patricia Mantero (San Juan, PR/Academia del Perpetuo Socorro) led the women's squad, coming in 11th out of 144 runners with a time of 20:37.32.
Macy Yingling (Bedford, PA/Bedford) came in 26th, clocking in at 21:15.91.
Anna Griffith (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) placed 46th in 22:17.35.
