Men's Soccer Shuts Out Hilbert 3-0

10/13/2012 — ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona men's soccer improved to 4-3 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference on Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 shutout of Hilbert College at Spring Run Stadium.

Adam Slear (Lewisburg, PA/Lewisburg) got the Lions on the board at 26:32 when he launched a long-range shot near the left sideline that sailed into the net, putting Penn State Altoona up 1-0.

Garrett Storm (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) increased his team's lead to 2-0 at 32:15 when he scored following a direct kick.

Mike Robinson (Lansdale, PA/North Penn) tacked on another goal to Penn State Altoona's lead at the 59:11 mark, scoring from the left side in a three-on-three rush.

Brandon Moss (Springfield, NJ/Jonathan Dayton) made three saves in net to record his fourth win and third shutout of the season.

The Lions have won three out of their last four games against AMCC opponents.
