Moss Named AMCC Defensive Player of the Week

10/15/2012 — PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Penn State Altoona men's soccer's freshman goalkeeper Brandon Moss (Springfield, NJ/Jonathan Dayton) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Moss returned from an injury to start in goal for the Lions on Saturday, turning away three shots to earn a 3-0 shutout win over Hilbert College. The win helped improve his team's record to 4-3 in the AMCC.

Moss is ranked fourth in the conference in goals against average (1.27), third in save percentage (.806), fifth in saves per game (5.00), and second in shutouts per game (0.30). In 10 appearances this season, he holds a 4-5 overall record with three shutouts.
