Lions Shoot 326 on Day Two, Finishing 4th at the AMCC Championships
10/15/2012 — WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona men's golf team finished in fourth place on Monday at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships at Oak Tree Country Club.
The Lions shot 326 on the second and final day of competition, a 16-stroke improvement from their day one score. The team finished with a total score of 668 over two days.
Penn State Behrend won the title, totalling 616 on Sunday and Monday. La Roche College placed second with 636, and Medaille College took third with a 660.
Joe Pastorek (Johnstown, PA/Bishop McCort) led Penn State Altoona on the second day by shooting a 76, five over par and a 13-stroke improvement from Sunday.
Wes Elder (Roaring Spring, PA/Martinsburg Central) shot a 79, and Tom Trexler (Bellwood, PA/Bellwood-Antis) finished the day with an 85.
Brad Swindell (Everett, PA/Everett) had an 86 on Monday, and Chris Boyer (West Chester, PA/B. Reed Henderson) rounded out the squad with a 90.
