Women's Bowling Picks Up Wins at Salem International

10/14/2012 — CLARKSBURG, W.V. - Penn State Altoona women's bowling wrapped up its home-and-home series with Salem International University on Sunday, getting two wins to finish their season-opening weekend in undefeated fashion.

Penn State Altoona topped Salem International 2153-2071 in the five-person team game, then won 732-624 in the baker match.

Shannel Ashby (Philadelphia, PA/Science Leadership Academy) led the Lady Lions by averaging a 160.

Brittany Ayers (Altoona, PA/Altoona) averaged a 146 for Penn State Altoona, and Taylor Helsel (Altoona, PA/Altoona) averaged 145.
