Deppenschmidt, Strubhar Represent Women's Soccer on All-Conference Team
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - A pair of Penn State Altoona women's soccer freshmen were named to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Conference Team on Tuesday morning.
Midfielder Theresa Deppenschmidt (New Hope, PA/New Hope-Solebury) and goalkeeper Mackenzie Strubhar (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin) were each voted to the Third Team of the All-Conference squad.
Deppenschmidt made an impact offensively in her first season with the Lady Lions. Starting in all 18 games, she tied for the team lead in goals with four and finished second with 10 points. She led all players in shots attempted (31) and shots on goal (17).
Strubhar made 14 starts in goal for Penn State Altoona, logging a total of 1157:21 minutes between the pipes. She led the AMCC in saves with 108, averaging 7.2 saves per game. She stopped 67.1% of the shots she faced and posted a 4.12 goals against average.
