McDowell Named to AMCC All-Conference Team for Women's Volleyball
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Penn State Altoona junior middle hitter Mariah McDowell (Morrisdale, PA/West Branch) was named to the Second Team of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's All-Conference Team, which was released Thursday morning.
In her first season with the Lady Lions, McDowell led the team and ranked fourth in the AMCC in kills, averaging 2.79 per set. Her .237 hitting percentage was best on the team and fifth in the conference. She was second on her squad with 366 digs and 61 total blocks.
McDowell's total of 326 kills in 2012 was the sixth-highest total in a single season for Penn State Altoona women's volleyball.
In three years in the AMCC, McDowell has earned All-Conference honors each season.
