Two Lions Earn All-Conference Honors in Men's Cross Country

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Penn State Altoona freshmen Jacob Dean (Shade Gap, PA/Southern Huntingdon) and Jason Anna (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock) were named to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's All-Conference Team in men's cross country on Friday.

Dean and Anna finished among the top 15 at the AMCC Championship on October 27 to qualify for All-Conference status.

Dean placed eighth out of 86 men's runners in the 8K AMCC race with a time of 29:15.1. He led the Lions in three of their seven races during the 2012 season. For his performance during the week of October 22, Dean was named the AMCC's Men's Runner of the Week.

Anna came in 10th place at the AMCCs, clocking in at 29:19.9. Throughout the 2012 schedule, he was the top finisher in four of his team's seven races.
