Lady Lions Downed 81-36 at La Roche

12/5/2012 — PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Penn State Altoona women's basketball was bested 81-36 by La Roche College on Wednesday night at Coach Scott Lang Court.

Marina Cotarelo (North Salem, NY/John F. Kennedy Catholic) led the Lady Lions in scoring with 10 points.

Allison Edwards (Williamsburg, PA/Williamsburg) added eight points for Penn State Altoona.

Cotarelo's layup at 17:49 gave the Lady Lions an early 4-2 lead.

But La Roche increased its lead to as much as 20 points in the first half, ultimately holding a 37-18 lead at the intermission.

The Lady Redhawks' lead continued to grow in the second half, ending the game with a 45 point advantage.
