Lady Lions Resume AMCC Play, Falling 81-42 to Medaille
1/5/2013 — ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona women's basketball resumed Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference competition on Saturday afternoon, but the Lady Lions were unable to come up with a win, losing 81-42 to Medaille College in the Adler Gym.
Moira Corrigan (Havertown, PA/Haverford) scored eight points and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds. She also had a pair of assists and two steals.
Kylie O'Toole (Pittsburgh, PA/Penn Trafford) led Penn State Altoona in scoring with 12 points, and Tamara Thomas (Altoona, PA/Altoona) added 10 points and four rebounds.
Medaille led early and continued to add to their advantage throughout the game. As a team, the Lady Mavericks shot 46.5% from the field and held Penn State Altoona to a 29.7% shooting percentage.
The Lady Mavericks forced 21 turnovers and capitalized on them, outscoring the Lady Lions 29-6 in points off turnovers.
