Penn State Altoona Falls in Dual Meet With Saint Vincent
1/12/2013 — ALTOONA, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona men's and women's swimming teams lost a dual meet with Saint Vincent College on Saturday afternoon in the Adler Natatorium.
The men were defeated 143-89, and the women lost 177-69.
Jonathan Delli Santi (Kenilworth, NJ/Academy for Allied Health Sciences) won a pair of events for the Lions. He placed first in the Men's 50 Yard Backstroke, recording a time of 27.31. Later, he topped the standings in the Men's 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 58.90.
Keenan Halpin (Bensalem, PA/George School) won the Men's 50 Yard Butterfly, notching a time of 25.60.
The squad of Halpin, Nick Adcock (Huntingdon Valley, PA/Lower Moreland), Owen Welch (Lewistown, PA/Mifflin County), and David Pedersen (Northern Cambria, PA/Northern Cambria) came in first in the Men's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay.
Mary Elizabeth McCulloch (Wingate, PA/Bald Eagle) won the Women's 50 Yard Breaststroke, finishing in 33.61.
Later, Maria Thompson (Altoona, PA/Altoona) took first in the Women's 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:40.25.
In the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, the team of Courtney Pinckney (Brooklyn, NJ/Brooklyn College Academy), Erin Knarr (Portage, PA/Forest Hills), Kelsy Lelko (State College, PA/State College), and Marie Noonan (Altoona, PA/Altoona) won first place.
