Gehret Becomes All-Time Blocks Leader

1/19/2013 — BRADFORD, Pa. - Lions senior forward Matt Gehret (Altoona, PA/Altoona) blocked two shots in Saturday's game at Pitt-Bradford to become the top shot blocker in the history of Penn State Altoona men's basketball.

Gehret came into Saturday's game tied with former Lion Barry Minemyer with 76 career blocks. He now sits alone atop the list with 78 blocks.

Earlier this year, Gehret set a Penn State Altoona men's basketball record for blocks in a single season. He has blocked 53 shots through 16 games this year.
