Women's Basketball Loses 92-35 to Lady Mavs
2/2/2013 — BUFFALO, N.Y. - Penn State Altoona women's basketball was bested 92-35 on Saturday afternoon in the Sullivan Center by Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference foe Medaille College.
Kylie O'Toole (Pittsburgh, PA/Penn Trafford) led the Lady Lions in scoring with eight points.
Allyson Hoffman (Camp Hill, PA/Camp Hill) and Alidia Strouse (State College, PA/State College) each added seven points for Penn State Altoona.
Moira Corrigan (Havertown, PA/Haverford) led the team in rebounds with nine.
Medaille asserted themselves from the opening tip-off, taking a lead and gradually building it throughout the first half. By the intermission, the Lady Mavericks held a 49-21 lead over Penn State Altoona.
The home team's lead continued to go up in the second half.
Medaille shot 49.3% from the field as a team and forced 30 turnovers by Penn State Altoona. They held big advantages over the Lady Lions in points in the paint (36-8) and points off turnovers (38-6).
