Totaro Tosses Complete Game Shutout for Lions in Doubleheader Split With Abington

3/3/2013 — AUBURNDALE, Fla. - Penn State Altoona baseball picked up its first win of the season on Sunday morning, defeating Penn State Abington 5-0 before losing game two of the doubleheader 3-1 at Lake Myrtle Park.

Making his first collegiate start, Lions' pitcher Derek Totaro (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield) threw a complete game shutout to help his team prevail in the first half of the twinbill. Totaro went seven innings, allowing just six hits and one walk while striking out four batters.
