Jackson Named AMCC Pitcher of the Week

3/11/2013 — PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Penn State Altoona softball's freshman Hannah Jackson (Troy, PA/Troy) earned the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Pitcher of the Week award on Monday.

Jackson posted a great start to her collegiate career last week during the Lady Lions' spring break trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C. She pitched a perfect game last Wednesday against Green Mountain College, going five innings and striking out eight batters while posting a spotless line. Her perfect game represents the third in Penn State Altoona softball history.

In 14 total innings of work last week, Jackson struck out 17 batters while giving up just five earned runs.
