Men's Tennis Swept 9-0 by Defending AMCC Champs

3/16/2013 — ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona men's tennis opened its 2013 season on Saturday at the Summit Athletic Club, losing 9-0 to Penn State Behrend, the defending Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference champions.

Behrend took all three doubles matches before winning the six singles matches.

Benjamin Heidorn (Bedford, PA/Bedford) won the only set of the day for the Lions, taking the first set against his opponent in #4 singles before losing his match in a tiebreaker.

Penn State Altoona resumes play tomorrow, Sunday, March 17 against Franciscan University at the Alpha Tennis Center in Pittsburgh.
