Men's Tennis Prevails Versus Waynesburg, Picking Up Second Victory in a Row

3/23/2013 — ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona men's tennis picked up its second win in as many days when it topped non-conference opponent Waynesburg University 7-2 on Saturday afternoon at Procare Fitness.

Waynesburg forfeited one doubles match and two singles matches to seal the win for the Lions.

Penn State Altoona won both doubles matches that were played. The team of Kevin Bartkus (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury)/Brian Schultz (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) won 8-4 in #1 doubles.

Benjamin Heidorn (Bedford, PA/Bedford)/Sebastian Bonifasi (Dominican Republic/Carol Morgan School) followed with a 9-7 victory in #2 doubles.

Patrick Albright (York, PA/Central York)/Casey Snyder (Altoona, PA/Altoona) won by default in #3 doubles.

Penn State Altoona followed its success in doubles by claiming victory in four out of six singles matches.

Bartkus battled back to eventually win in #1 singles, 2-6, 6-1, 6-1.

Chao Hsuan Liu (Taipei, Taiwan/Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School) fought back in a 6-7, 6-3, 11-9 win in the #4 singles flight.

Heidorn played to a 6-3, 7-5 win in #5 singles.

Bonifasi was awarded a win by default in #6 singles.
