Lions Tennis Tops D'Youville 6-3

4/5/2013 — WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - Penn State Altoona men's tennis played to a 6-3 win over Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent D'Youville College on Friday evening at Miller Tennis Center.

The victory lifts the Lions to 4-3 overall this season, including a 3-2 record in the AMCC.

The Lions swept doubles play. The pairs of Kevin Bartkus (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury)/Brian Schultz (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg), Benjamin Heidorn (Bedford, PA/Bedford)/Chao Hsuan Liu (Taipei, Taiwan/Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School), and Casey Snyder (Altoona, PA/Altoona)/Patrick Albright (York, PA/York Catholic) all earned victories.

In singles, D'Youville and Penn State Altoona split.

Albright won 6-4, 6-4 in #3 singles, Liu played to a 7-3, 6-3 triumph in #4 singles, and Heidorn had a 6-2, 6-1 victory in #5 singles.
