Lions Tennis Cruises to 7-2 Win Over Bethany

4/9/2013 — BETHANY, W.V. - Penn State Altoona men's tennis bounced back from Monday's loss with a 7-2 win against Bethany College on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lions won two out of three doubles matches.

Benjamin Heidorn (Bedford, PA/Bedford)/Sebastian Bonifasi (Dominican Republic/Carol Morgan School) were victorious 8-4 in #2 doubles, and Casey Snyder (Altoona, PA/Altoona)/Chao Hsuan Liu (Taipei, Taiwan/Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School) won 8-5 in #3 doubles.

Penn State Altoona then went on to take five out of six singles matches.

Kevin Bartkus (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) won 6-2, 6-4 in #1 singles, and Brian Schultz (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win in #2 singles.

Heidorn topped his opponent in #3 singles 3-0, Ret., and Bonifasi played to a 6-1, 6-0 win in the #5 flight.

Juan Cabrera (Valley Stream, NY/Valley Stream South) triumphed 6-3, 6-2 in #6 singles.
