Men's Tennis Sweeps Mount Aloysius for 9-0 Victory

4/11/2013 — ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona men's tennis swept Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference foe Mount Aloysius College 9-0 on Thursday afternoon at the Adler Tennis Courts.

The pairings of Kevin Bartkus (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury)/Chao Hsuan Liu (Taipei, Taiwan/Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School), Benjamin Heidorn (Bedford, PA/Bedford)/Sebastian Bonifasi (Dominican Republic/Carol Morgan School), and Casey Snyder (Altoona, PA/Altoona)/Patrick Albright (York, PA/York Catholic) won in doubles.

In singles, Bartkus, Albright, Heidorn, Bonifasi, Liu, and Juan Cabrera (Valley Stream, NY/Valley Stream South) were all victorious to seal Penn State Altoona's sweep of the Mounties.

The Lions improve to 6-4 overall this season, including a 4-2 mark in the AMCC. They will hold the #3 seed entering the AMCC Championship Tournament, which begins on April 20 when they face #2 seeded Penn State Behrend at Oxford Athletic Club in Pittsburgh.
