Men's Soccer Starts Season With 2-0 Loss at Widener

8/30/2013 — CHESTER, Pa. - Penn State Altoona men's soccer was bested 2-0 on Friday night by Widener University in a non-conference game at Leslie Quick Stadium.

Widener broke a scoreless tie at 38:38 when Tori Remondelli scored on a header off of a corner kick from Zac Furia.

The game remained 1-0 until the home team added an insurance score at 82:34 on an own goal by Penn State Altoona.

Aaron Ballish (Apollo, PA/Kiski) made four saves in goal for the Lions.

Chris Miller (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) and Adam Slear (Lewisburg, PA/Lewisburg) each had two shots for Penn State Altoona.
