Women's Tennis Falls 7-2 at Mount Aloysius


9/6/2013 — EBENSBURG, Pa. - Penn State Altoona women's tennis was defeated 7-2 by Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Mount Aloysius College on Friday evening at the Ebensburg Tennis Center.

The dual match marked the first AMCC contest of the season for the Lady Lions.

Mount Aloysius swept doubles to take an early 3-0 lead, then they claimed four wins in singles to take the match.

Michelle Colucci (Middletown, NJ/St. John Vianney) won in #1 singles for Penn State Altoona. After losing her first set 7-6, she battled back to win the match with 6-3 and 6-1 wins in the next two sets.

Rachael Barbush (Mechanicsburg, PA/Trinity) won 6-1, 1-6, 6-3 in #6 singles to claim another point for the Lady Lions.
